The brief
Expanded lanais for hotel guest rooms at a Wailea resort, turning each into a private garden retreat with its own soaking tub.
The build
A ground-up project spanning site work, concrete, masonry, tile, paint, plumbing, electrical and FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment). Breen Builders raised the new exterior walls, set the soaking tubs, and carried the finishes through to the furnishings.
The result
Completed in 2023, the expanded lanais give guests an open-air bath and lounge framed by lava-stone walls, rain showers and garden planting.
